How do I play Match-3 levels?

Before each level, you are shown one or more goals. It is required to fulfill all of them to complete the level.

  • By swiping, match three or more same-colored tiles one after another in either a horizontal or vertical direction to complete the goal.
  • Different types of obstacles will appear in the game to challenge you.
  • Each level will have a limited number of moves to complete the goal, so be up to the task.
  • Matching more than three tiles of the same color in various combinations will create Boosters. Combining different boosters will give an even bigger effect.
  • If you have more moves left upon completing any level, you will be able to earn greater rewards.

Why do I have to play Match-3 levels?

  • You need to play match-3 levels to get stars. Each match-3 level when completed successfully will grant you a Star. Stars are needed to:
  • Renovate/decorate a room in an episode. You can only proceed to the next room by fully decorating an existing room.
  • Additionally, the story in Room Flip pops up while decorating a room. So you need Stars to decorate and proceed through the story and the game, and playing match-3 enables you to get the Stars!
  • Completing match-3s will also grant you Coins, which can be used to purchase or customize furniture, boosters, and lives.

Can I replay Levels?

No! You will not be able to replay the completed levels.

Can I skip any Levels?

No! You cannot skip any of the game levels. It is required to complete each level to progress through the game.

However, if a level is difficult to beat, you can use the Coins you've earned by clearing previous levels to get Boosters which might help you beat the current level!

How do I restore Lives? How many can I have?

  • Every time you lose a level, you will lose a life. But don't worry it will recharge every 15 mins and you can hold a total of 5 lives at max.
  • Your life count and restoration time are displayed on the top left corner of the screen. If you run out of lives, you can either buy them using coins or ask your friends to share.

What’s a Booster? What kinds are there?

    Boosters are power-up elements that can be used to beat hard levels.
  • Drills: clear all tiles in a row or column (depending on which direction they're pointed). You can get them by matching four pieces in a line.
  • Bombs: activated on a double-tap, it removes a significant number of pieces close by. You can get them by matching five or six pieces in an L or T formation.
  • Rocket: will remove one random piece on the match-3 board. They tend to hit locked elements or level goals first. When taking off, Rockets also destroy neighboring pieces. You can get them by matching four pieces of the same type in a square shape.
  • Lava Lamp: will remove all the pieces of the same type from the match-3 board. You can get them by matching five pieces in a line.
  • When combined with another booster, Lava Lamp spawns more of the same all over the board! Experiment and find out what combinations come to life!

What Booster combinations are available in the game?

  • Bomb + Bomb double the radius of the bomb effect.
  • Bomb + Drill removes three rows and columns of pieces.
  • Drill + Drill removes one row and one column of tiles regardless of which way the Rockets are pointed.
  • Bomb or Drill + Rocket detonates the Rocket, which carries the Bomb or Drill along with it to a random objective tile.
  • Rocket + Rocket produces three Rockets that target different tiles.
  • Lava lamp + Rocket/Bomb/Drill makes the Lava Lamp turn all the pieces of one type (the one currently the most common on the field) into the booster it was combined with.
  • Lava Lamp + Lava Lamp removes all pieces from the field, clearing one obstacle layer in the process.

What kinds of take-in Boosters and in-game Power-Ups are available in the game?

Take-In Power-ups:

  • These are power-ups that you take into the game before the level begins. You can earn them through rewards or purchase them with coins.
  • Lava Lamp lets you start levels with a Lava Lamp placed randomly on the match-3 board. When combined with another booster, it spawns more of the same all over the board! Experiment and find out what combinations come to life!
  • Double Rocket doubles all the Rockets on the match-3 board (once you activate one, you'll see two of them take off).
  • Bomb and Drill let you start the level with a Bomb and a Drill placed randomly on the match-3 board.

In-Game Power-Ups:

  • These are power-ups that you can choose to access while playing the match-3 level to help you in a tricky situation. You can earn them through rewards or purchase them with coins.
  • Hammer clears the piece from one tile (if used on obstacles, it weakens them). This power-up is only available before making your move.
  • X-Hammer lets you remove one row and one column of elements all at once, or can be used to unleash considerable damage to obstacles. You can only buy this power-up while playing a level.
  • Swap allows you to swap two adjacent pieces without using a move. You can only buy this power-up while playing level 2.
  • Why do I need in-game Coins, and how do I get them?

    Coins are the primary game currency which is used for several purposes such as:

    • Buying Power-Ups.
    • Buying additional moves or time when playing levels.
    • Refilling Lives.

      You can receive coins:

    • As a reward for completing match-3 levels.
    • As a reward for flipping a room.
    • On making real money in-game purchases.

    Why do I need Stars, and how do I get them?

    Stars are task currency that cannot be purchased. They can be earned ONLY through gameplay - as a reward for beating/completing match-3 levels. It is used to flip/renovate the room.

    How do I unlock New Rooms to be flipped?

    Each room will have a certain number of tasks to be completed. You can complete the given tasks by using the available Stars. Once all the tasks are accomplished, the game will progress to the next room to be flipped.

    How do I change the way objects look in the room?

    • Edit Mode can be used to change the furniture that you have already installed. You can also go back to the previous episode to redo this.
    • Tap the edit button on the bottom left side of the screen (the 3rd button).
    • Next, choose the furniture or decoration item you want to modify and then tap on the subsequent choice to place your choice.
    You may need to watch an ad for the same.

    What is a Daily bonus, and how do I get one?

    You will receive the Daily Bonus when you log in every day. There are three sets of weekly bonuses which will reset over the upcoming alternative weeks. You will have the chance to earn bigger rewards when you log in and play every day. By the end of the week, you will receive a super bonus.

    If you break the sequence of consecutive login days you've played, you simply resume where you left off, and you get your awesome reward a bit later. So try not to miss out!

      Please note:

    • You need a stable internet connection to collect your Daily Bonus.
    • The time and date on your device have to be accurate.
    • Once you collect the super bonus on the seventh day, the week restarts and features new bonuses.

    What are the Special Events? How do I take part in them?

    The events are new content, levels, or episodes that are available for all players for a short definite time. They are usually associated with holidays (Christmas, Chinese New Year, Easter, Halloween, etc.) and are part of every major update.

    How can I make sure my game progress is saved?

    Your game progress will be saved automatically at regular intervals once your device is connected to the internet, so it won't be lost even if you reinstall the game.

    Connecting your game progress to your Facebook account is also possible. Just connect to Facebook from the game settings menu, and the progress will be synchronized automatically.

    Can I start the game over?

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to start the game over from the beginning on the same device. However, you can install the game on a different device to play from the beginning.

    Can I revert the room design made already to the old design?

    Nope! Resetting a flipped room is not possible since you are flipping it to be better. You can, however, edit your choices by going into edit mode.

    • You can go back to the previous episode to redo this.
    • Tap the edit button on the bottom left side of the screen (the 3rd button).
    • Next, choose the furniture or decoration item you want to modify and then tap on the subsequent choice to place your choice.

    You may need to watch an ad for the same.

    How to obtain Player ID?

    You can always check your unique Player ID on the game settings screen and the loading splash screen. The player ID can be copied by clicking on the button next to it.

    How do I use the Hammer booster?

    The Hammer is a booster that you can get only in match-3 levels.

    • One Hammer destroys one piece or one obstacle layer (e.g., one chain out of two) without using a move.
    • When you want to use this booster, just tap the Hammer icon and then the tile you want to use it on.
    • This booster is very handy for getting access to hard-to-reach tiles, or when you don’t have enough moves left to complete the level goals.
    • You can buy the Hammer booster when you're already playing a level, or get it as a reward for completing a game day

    Note: To remove a part of a wall, use the Hammer on the tile next to it.

    What's the difference between the Hammer and the X-Hammer?

    Similar to the Hammer, the X-Hammer or Sledgehammer is also available when you’re playing match-3 levels. It removes pieces and obstacles without losing a move, only it’s more powerful than the regular Hammer. If you hit a piece or an obstacle with the Sledgehammer, you'll remove one row and one column of elements, just like the Rocket+Rocket combination. This booster removes pieces and does considerable damage to obstacles.

    You can buy the Sledgehammer booster while you're playing levels, earn it as a reward for completing in-game days, or get it as a Daily Bonus.

    Why do I need in-game Coins, and how do I get them?

    Coins are the primary game currency which is used for several purposes such as:

    • Buying Power-Ups.
    • Buying additional moves or time when playing levels.
    • Refilling Lives.

    You can receive Coins:

    • As a reward for completing match-3 levels.
    • As a reward for flipping a room.
    • On making real money in-game purchases.

    How do I make in-game purchases?

      "IAP purchases can be made in-game by following the steps below:

      • Open the game and tap the coin icon on the top left corner.
      • Choose the number of coins you would like to buy.
      • Select the appropriate payment method.
      • Enter the information required to proceed with the payment.
      • Confirm the purchase.

      Upon following the steps above, the Coins will be added to your game account. If not, please contact our support team by following the steps given in the ‘My Purchase didn't show up in the game’ article. "

    My purchase didn't show up in the game

      Please ensure that you have a stable network connection. Since the IAP purchase(s) made can be transferred to your game account only if you stay connected to the internet. It is recommended to restart your device if the connection was lost on or during the purchase.

      If the purchase still doesn't show up in the game, please feel free to reach out to our support team by clicking the mail icon from the game settings menu, and don’t forget to add the purchase details such as:

      • The exact amount spent on the IAP purchase.
      • The date/time of purchase.
      • A copy of the receipt or a screenshot of your purchase history.
      • Note:You can retrieve the purchase receipt from your email after making the payment. You can find more information about your purchase history in the customer support section on the Apple & Google websites.

    I can't make purchases

    IAP transactions happen without any hitches or delays almost all of the time. If you have spent money without receiving your Gems or Coins, please make a request, and Support will be glad to restore your purchase to you. Before you raise a request, do consider the following:

    • Your internet connection: it has to be stable to make purchases, so we recommend using Wi-Fi or at least a 3G/4G connection.
    • Temporary problems with the app store: Aal in-game purchases are processed by the store where the game was downloaded from. There is a chance that the store is overloaded and unable to process your request. In that case, please wait several minutes and try again.
    • Problems with the store app: these are usually solved by restarting your device.

    How can I cancel a purchase and get a refund?

    All purchases are processed by the store you downloaded the game from. To claim a refund, you'll need to contact the customer support service for that store.

    Any information you provide to support your claim (e.g., the order number, the purchase time, or your receipt) can considerably speed up the refund process. Please go through the following documentation below.

    How do I avoid accidental in-app purchases?

    I think I spent too many stars on a task in the game!

    Some game tasks are completed in several stages, and each stage can cost several stars. Even different stages of the same task can cost a different amount of stars. If you haven't completed the task yet, check your in-game tablet — maybe you're working on one such task right now.

    What are Unlimited Lives? How do I get them?

    Unlimited lives let you play match-3 levels without losing a life. There are various ways to get these lives:

    • As a reward for participating in events, like the ‘Cat-ch Me If You Can’, and others.
    • As part of the Daily Bonus.
    • During Sales and Special Offers.

    Note: These unlimited lives are only available for a short time. Please check the timer to know the available time; it can't be paused or stopped.

    Events are new content, levels, or episodes that are available for a limited time. By participating in the events, you can earn some additional rewards. At the moment, these are the following events taking place in Room Flip and we highly recommend you take part in these fun and rewarding events.

    • Claw Carnival: Players have to complete a given number of tasks before time runs out to have a go at the claw machine and earn rewards.
    • Enchanted Flower: This mysterious plant blooms as players’ skills develop throughout the game.
    • Cat-ch Me If You Can:Players enter a multiplayer cat race with their cats in hot-air balloons.

    I lost my game progress

    If your game progress has been lost, try the following:

    • A detailed description of the problem.
    • The match-3 level you were on.
    • What happened before your progress was lost (if you reinstalled the game, changed devices, updated the software, etc.).

    Can I play the game on multiple devices?

    Yes, you can, but only if your game is connected to Facebook. There are also some other requirements for synchronization:

    • You must have the same game version on both devices that you want to sync.
    • Both devices must meet the minimum system requirements.
    • Cross-platform synchronization is only possible between iOS and Android devices (e.g., you can't sync games between the iOS and the Facebook versions).

    Follow these steps to synchronize the game on your devices using Facebook:

    • Install the game from the App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon App Store on your second device.

    How do I transfer my progress to a new device?

    You can transfer your game progress from your old device to your new one by connecting the new game to the same Facebook account you used for the first device:

    • Install the game from the App Store or Google Play on the new device.
    • Connect the newly installed game to the same Facebook account you used for the old device.
    • Tap ‘Load Game’ in the pop-up window.
    • Type CONFIRM to finish.

    Can I have two game accounts on a single device?

    Every account has a unique ID associated with the device on which the game was started. If you try to add another account, your progress on the first one may be irretrievably lost. Hence, we do not recommend having more than one game account per device.

    How do I continue the game on a new device without connecting it to Facebook?

    If your game isn't connected to Facebook, but you have access to your old device, our Support team will help you transfer your game progress manually. You can reach out to our support team by clicking the mail icon from the game settings menu.

    How do I update the Game?

    To update the game, please follow the instructions below based on your device platform. For iOS devices:

    • Open the App Store on your device.
    • Tap the Updates icon on the bottom panel.
    • If a new update is available for your game, it will appear in the list. Tap ‘Update’ next to the update description to download it.

    You can also change your device settings to automatically download updates for the apps you have installed:

    • Go to Settings -> iTunes and App Store.
    • In the ‘Automatic Downloads’ section, turn ‘Updates on’.
    For Android devices:
    • Open the Play Store app on your device.
    • Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner, and then My applications and games.
    • Find the game name in the list and tap it.
    • Tap Update when the game page opens.
    • You can also adjust your device settings to automatically download updates for the apps you have installed:

      • Open the Play Store app.
      • Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner.
      • Go to the Settings section.
      • Tap Auto-Update apps.
      • Choose one of the following:
      • > Auto-Update apps at any time. Updates will be downloaded via both Wifi and your mobile network. > Auto-Update apps over Wi-Fi only. Updates will only start downloading when your device has a Wi-Fi connection.
      For Kindle devices:
      • Open Apps -> Store.
      • Tap the Menu icon in the bottom part of the screen, and then App Updates (or My Apps).
      • Find the game in the list and tap ‘Update’.

    When are Updates released? Can I get info on them?

    When will New Levels be released?

    The new levels will be incorporated with the game updates as soon as possible. There is no fixed schedule for these updates. For more information in this regard,

    I'm having a technical issue with the game

    We would recommend you to kindly try the steps below to try fixing the issue:

    • Restart your device.
    • Delete the game and reinstall it. Don't worry: if your device is connected to the internet, you won't lose your progress!
    • Check for available game updates in the App Store or Google Play.
    • Check for available software updates for your device.
    • Make sure your device meets the minimum system requirements for proper gaming.

    If the issue persists upon trying the steps above, please contact our customer support and describe the issue in detail:

    • What exactly is going wrong?
    • What you're doing that leads to the problem.
    • When the problem occurred for the first time (after updating, when reinstalling, or at some other point).
    • A screenshot of any error.

    I can't connect my game to Facebook

    If you are not able to connect via Facebook with the game, please try the steps below:

    • Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
    • Check to see if your username and password are correct.
    • If you have the Facebook app installed on your device, log out of it (or delete and reinstall it).
    • Log out of your Facebook account in all browsers installed on your device (Chrome, Opera, Safari, etc.).
    • Restart your device and try to connect the game to Facebook again.
    For iOS devices:
    • Go to your device’s Settings -> Facebook.
    • Make sure the game is listed under ‘Allow these apps to use your account’ and that permission is turned on.
    • Delete your Facebook account from the device settings (tap your name -> Delete Account).
    • Reset your advertising identifier (Settings -> Privacy -> Advertising -> Reset Advertising Identifier).
    • Uninstall the Facebook app from your device.
    • Open your browser -> open your Facebook account page -> log into your account.
    • Try to reconnect to Facebook in the game settings.
    For Android devices:
    • Go to Settings -> Accounts.
    • Tap Facebook -> Remove.
    • Remove the game from the list of applications on Facebook.
    • Restart your device, enter the game, and try to reconnect it to Facebook.

    I have no game sound effects

      If you have come across any game audio related issues:

      • Check the game settings to make sure sounds and music are turned on.
      • Restart the game app.
      • Restart your device.

      That usually fixes the problem. If the sound is still missing, try this:

      • Make sure your device is not muted and that the volume is high enough.
      • Try plugging in and unplugging your headphones.
      • Make sure your music player is turned off.

      If the issue still occurs, try launching another application to make sure the device sound is working in general. If the problem persists, it probably has to do with your device itself rather than the game.

    Why does my connection keep dropping?

    Although we would recommend you not to disable notifications as they keep you informed about new/upcoming events, updates, and so on if you still want to turn off game notifications in your device settings, you could do the following:

    • Find Room Flip in the application list and select it.
    • Go to Notifications (the right side of the screen) and turn off Allow Notifications.
      For Android and Amazon Kindle devices:
    • Open your device's Settings -> Applications.
    • Find Room Flip in the list of installed apps and select it.

    Can I run the mobile version of the game on a computer?

    Please be informed that running the game's mobile version on your computer using third-party software (emulators) can cause performance issues. Unfortunately, in this case, our Customer Support won't be able to help you resolve these issues.
